the scenario where I have the problems with the Chat is the following.

One phone opens a  Wi-Fi access point this phone also creates later the channel for the Alljoyn Chat (Server). Another phone connects to the access point and joines the channel (Client).

Everything works fine, they can chat. However some times the client is not able to send messages any more. Nevertheless he is still able to receive messages form the Server.

The failure appears most times when the screen of the client was off and is activated again, which ist strange since the Chat does nothing in the onResume().

Every time the failure occurs the following messages appear in the log:

D/AllJoynChat(17568): Discovered chat conversation:

D/AllJoynChat(17568): JoinSession failed status=ER_ALLJOYN_JOINSESSION_REPLY_ALREADY_JOINED

I use  the Alljoyn Service and the Alljoyn Chat app with the JNI code both from Alljoyn 2.3.3.

I tried this on several phones (Galaxy S2, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, ... all phones are not rooted).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Lupus,

Sorry for the confusion but the JNI chat sample does not have the concept of 'channel' in the app.

Are you using the pure Java Chat sample for Android or the JNI Chat sample ?
